Iyengar yoga is an integrated style of yoga which is accessible to all levels of experience and fitness.
B.K.S. Iyengar is one of the world's most revered masters of Yoga, having devoted a lifetime to its study. He began teaching in 1936 at the age of 18, and has spent his life developing his own style and discipline of yoga practice. Today he continues to practice, teach, and inspire his students throughout the world.
In lyengar yoga there is precise and careful attention paid to physical alignment, an insistence on balanced and integrated development, and an emphasis on postures to develop strength, endurance and suppleness - physically, mentally and emotionally.
This class will offer you a workout for the body and encourage a calm and relaxed state of mind. An accessible and enjoyable practice open to students of all levels.
Margaux teaches yoga grounded in the structure and precision of Iyengar's teachings with a special emphasis on opening the heart to the present moment through the exploration of breath awareness, mantra and meditation on the universal aspects of our nature.
